The only way we've been able to keep our kitchen tile floor clean in the past is down on my knees w a scrub brush. I've always wanted something like this.Amazon's price was competitive and when you factor in the free shipping, it was the best. Delivery was very prompt.Assembly was simple, requiring only a flathead screwdriver.The unit performs well, cleaning my floor better than I could have done with a brush at a fraction of the time. Some reviews complain that it doesn't scrub hard enough. The only way to make it scrub harder is for it to be heavier, which would mean a larger motor on a larger commercial machine. At this price point I feel I've got a terrific little machine!Some reviews say that it doesn't pick up the liquid from the floor. It's a scrubber, not a vacuum. Just use a sponge mop to pickup the water after your floors are clean.Some complain that it doesn't stand up on its own. True. You'll need to lean it against a chair or the wall, but so what?Another reviewer had problems with the brushes staying on. Mine snap on fine and stay put.The only thing I'd add to it is some sort of a "skirt" around the base. The brushes spin and sling dirty water on my white baseboards..... Oh well. I'll gladly wipe them down since I just did my whole floor without getting on my knees!I haven't tried it on my hardwoods yet.
